Information on the Naval War College National Security Event

The U.S. Naval War College will host a virtual conference entitled the “National Security Significance of a Changing Climate: Risk and Resilience in the 21st Century,” on Friday, January 8, 2021, from 8:30-3:30 EST.  This conference explores the national security and economic implications of climate change on the current and future security landscape. These renowned speakers show the continuity of effort across four administrations by highlighting significant accomplishments and then examining the challenges and opportunities in the future. The event will include panels on global power competition, state fragility, domestic response, defense infrastructure, and competition in the oceans.  The keynote speaker is the Hon. Alice C. Hill, Former Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Resilience Policy on the National Security Council, joined by other distinguished speakers to include Hon. Sherri Goodman, ADM(ret.) Paul Zukunft, Hon.
